When you’re done looking down; look up!

Posted on Saturday 15 March 2008

Google is awesome! ^^

For those who have used it and played with it, Google Earth is really fun cause you can get to “visit” places you’ve never been or just look at how your house’s roof looks like from the sky. ;) Recently, they’ve updated the maps information for KL and other major cities in Malaysia and you can even see road names and directions now. (Just like how Google Maps is for US).

Now… Google has something really cool call Google Sky as well. Google Sky shows you the solar system, constellations and different stars in the universe… all you need is an Internet connection that’s good enough to continuously keep up with your zooming and panning. :P

Anyway, I’ve just skimmed through the features and it’s pretty nifty.. check out the video below for more information. Cheers~

hi Albert… you can’t open the Google Earth installer you downloaded? Are you using MS Windows or Linux/Mac?

Anyway, you don’t really need to install Google Earth if you don’t want to.. you can still browse it via http://maps.google.com and just switch to the Satellite view. :) Only difference is that you can’t zoom in as much as you can if you’re using the Google Earth app.

As for Google Sky; the link is in my post. Cheers~

Hi Albert, try going to this link - http://earth.google.com/download-earth-t1.html and select the Windows version before you click on “Download”.

Also, I’m not sure what your system specs are so… just check and see if they meet the minimum requirements to run the program ok?

    Hope this helps.. Cheers~ :)
