Article : I bade my son farewell today

I usually do not blog about anything serious or stuffs related to the current happenings in Malaysia; but this time I read an article which I think is really worth sharing.

If you have the time… follow this link and read it. I couldn’t agree more with the opinions stated by the author about the current education system back in Malaysia. Heck, that’s one of the main reason I wanted to get an overseas degree in the first place (albeit that I did it in Malaysia).

The Govt. kept going on about trying to reverse the “brain drain” that the country is facing but reality check - what is there in store for us back home? Given the chance - I think most people would jump at the thought of being offered a job overseas.

To quote the author -“… the grass may not be greener on the other side, but the skies are more blue. And even if the grass is not greener, it is grass you can stand on with your head held high. God Bless. “

Thanks Benet for sharing the article link.

i am touched by how the author, being a father end his article.

Overall, the article reflects on what is happening in this country. Who is happy to be labeled as ‘pendatang’ ?

Just hope that the country won’t face major brain drain problem in the years to come…
