Back from hiatus and backtracking…
Hi guys… I figured I better get off my laurels and start writing something or else I’m going to get really comfortable and forget about updating this blog soon… Anyway, just wanna write something short about what happened 2 weeks ago.
My apologies first to all those who’s expecting pictures of pretty girls in tight mini skirts and all… hahaha… so sorry cause I didn’t have a camera with me (and walking up with my camera phone is such a turn off) - so, I didn’t take any pictures of the exhibition. Instead, I’ve got a couple of photos here taken with the office digital camera. Sorry yah.. especially to SF.
Perhaps next year! hahaha…
Anyway, Interop Tokyo 2007 was great! It was held in a place call Makuhari Messe and it’s in this huge warehouse like exhibition area stretching 8 halls all together. Our company was one of the many exhibitors that participated in this year’s Interop.

Some of the neighboring booths in our halls - Otsuka and D-Link. Both of which hired a group of pretty young girls to pass out survey forms and questionnaires.

A shot from the top of the stairs… some of the booths in our halls (from Hall 4-6).

So, for 3 days straight - we were at the exhibition promoting our company’s products and services. As you all know, my command of the Japanese language is next to zero; so… it’s more like my colleagues are promoting and I’m just part of the display.
Nonetheless, I basically helped entertained some of the non-Japanese visitors as well as 2 of our guests from US (our partners).

So, after 3 days of exhibition… it was time to pack and boy was I glad! My poor feet felt so sore cause we practically had to stand for the entire time (except during lunch breaks and a couple of short breaks). Nonetheless, it was all worth it. After we’ve unloaded all the servers and racks and stuffs back to the office, my colleagues and I went for a nice dinner at a nearby restaurant.
During our dinner, there was a very famous baseball player who was having dinner in the same restaurant. Now, I’m not really a baseball fan or fan of any sports but me after 2 mugs of beer didn’t need much pestering… hahaha.. so, I went and asked for his autograph (since my colleague wanted it).
Heck, I didn’t even know the player’s name until the next day when I searched online. Anyway, he’s Tsuyoshi Shimoyanagi of the Hanshin Tigers. Well, at least now I know…

Me (all red) with the autograph… hehehe…
Cheers~!
