Today I practically spent most of my time behind the wheels. In the morning, I had to fetch my mom to the market and to buy some cabinets for the kitchen, then after that I proceed on to the Japan Embassy around 1pm as I gotta collect my actual Visa after I submitted the COE last Wednesday. The problem was coming back to PJ after going to the Embassy. I was caught in Bukit Bintang area for a good 30 minutes! A road that’ll take you less than 5 minutes to pass took me 30 minutes. There were cars EVERYWHERE!
Anyway, an hour plus later I managed to get back to PJ and went to renew my driving license as it’s expiring today! hehehe… took my number - 1615… currently serving 1528. Great… just great. Luckily, the queues cleared up pretty fast as the counters are all open and 40 minutes later I was out of there.
By the time I got out, it was 3:45pm and then I went to fetch Kimberly in Bukit Jalil and later on to fetch Kelvin Khoo in Cyberjaya. We’ve planned for dinner as well as a movie in 1Utama and this just means MORE DRIVING for me! hahaha… Well, we arrived at 1Utama in one piece although throughout the way it was just slow crawling traffic since it’s peak hours. (pity my legs… they were a little aching by then).
We had dinner in TGIF and everyone ate to our hearts content as the portions are nice.
After dinner we went to watch The Holiday and although the movie was a bit long… it’s actually pretty nice. The chemistry of the characters in the movie is good and there’s the occasional comedy here and there. Overall, I enjoyed it very much.
Well, after the movie it’s back to more driving as I gotta send Kimberly and Kelvin back home. The good part is that at least there’s not much traffic on the road now so the drive was much more smoother. Finally, when I got home… the odometer reads 186km! That’s how much I’ve driven in ONE day!
*yawn* it’s now 1:50am. Time for me to get some shut eyes now… Cheers~!
wow…going to Japan sounds like fun…hmmm…all da best! =D
Benet,
Wahlau, indeed a tiring day…..really need a car to survive in west malaysia
Hi kimbuali, thanks for the well wishes.
Hi John… although you can still live without a car and depend on the public transport and LRTs, there’s just some places that is not convenient to reach by bus or LRT and that’s when a car is really handy especially if you travel around alot. Why do you think KL has so much traffic jam anyway? hahaha…
