When things don’t go right…

Posted on Friday 12 January 2007

Recently I’ve been pretty frustrated… frustrated at the fact that things aren’t going as smoothly as I planned it would be. Everytime I plan for something, something else happens and screws up your schedule, your plans… everything. It just irks me when no matter how much I try to be in control, I just can’t control everything!

But if there’s ONE thing that I believe - I believe in the power of prayers. Yes; prayers… Personally, I’m not a very religious person; I only attend mass on Sundays, not a big fan when it comes to discussions about faith and also I don’t really participate much in Church activities. But, I do believe that there is a divine force that is driving our daily lives… a force that changes the way we live our life and this force is GOD. Now, regardless of what religion or beliefs you have; I’m pretty certain that every single religion speaks of believing in GOD and putting our faith and trust in HIM.

So, when I’m facing a tough situation or I’m in a fix (which I usually am)… I just take time to say a short prayer. I’m not sure if HE hears them or just ignores them (lolz…) but by doing that, it gives me a bit of confidence that things will turn out right… eventually. (you need to have a bit of patience sometimes ;) )

Having a bit of faith in GOD makes a whole world of difference if you ask me. Throughout my entire life, there’s been so many obstacles and problems (who doesn’t right)… and by praying before I take any actions, they will eventually turn out just fine. Of course, then it’s best to thank HIM for the wonderful graces and blessings. Just recently, I bumped into a few hiccups with some work that I’m doing and time was really running out… but miraculously; just at the nick of time - everything turn out alright. I was frustrated, looking at alternatives, cursing a little and just hated everything… BUT I never gave up and always pray.

So, when things don’t go right… just pray. If you believe in it, it can work wonders. ;)

Cheers~!
