8 days into 2007
… and it feels just like 2006. 
Another year has passed. I spent the New Year sitting at home with my mom waiting for the clock to strike 12 o’clock and enjoying a myriad of fireworks display put up by PJ Hilton Hotel, some families in my neighborhood and also from some unknown parties which was still visible from my house’s balcony.
No… I didn’t go party at all the happening places in KL or PJ; I’m just not a big fan of crowded places lately. There was a big gathering at the Central Park Avenue in 1Utama where the organizer planned a live concert as well as a 10 minutes fireworks display… Also, every year Sunway Lagoon Waterpark will have a Beach Party and I heard that this year it was pretty good… the fireworks was long considering the fact that Sunway Lagoon and Sunway Pyramid both put up a nice display - one after the other.
The first week of my new year I just spent some time setting up my new toy. Well, it’s not exactly a toy but it’s a VPS which I’ve subscribed to. Rather than setting up the usual webserver and hosting; I planned to do something a little different and experiment with it just a little. Unfortunately, with the problem of the Taiwan quake causing a massive disruption in our Internet links - I’m facing difficulties just trying to SSH into my server. Most of the time I was just waiting for the link to get a bit better and been trying my luck to set it up bit by bit. Hopefully, I can do a bit more this week with the gradual improvement of the links.
Aside from that, I attended a friend’s wedding over the weekend and also caught up on a TV series called Heroes. So far I’ve watched up to Episode 5 and I must say it’s pretty good… contains lots of suspense and some nice humor. The movie starts off with lots of unexplained stuffs and you can see it slowly coming together and unravels itself. If you got time to kill just like me… I’ll recommend you to watch it.
Now for the coming days… I just hope that I can take time to catch up with some of my old friends who are in PJ/KL. Haven’t been in touch with them even though I got back since December. I guess it was just the holiday rush and lots of other stuffs happening in between.
