Disconnected from the WWW
Tuesday, November 14th, 2006Sigh~~ My house’s phone connection here in Miri was disconnected since last Thursday for no reason. One minute it was fine… the next minute, no dial tone.
It’s not like we didn’t settle the bills cause we make sure we pay our bills on time every month now so we gave Telekom a call and filed a report. The verdict - they’ll response to the report in 24 working hours.
Friday came and 24 hours passed; still no reponse. No visit from a technician, no phone call… nothing. So, this time my housemate drove down to their office and file another complaint. The verdict - they’ll response to the report in 24 working hours. ^%#&@#&*#&@!!!
Saturday and Sunday came and gone… still no dail tone. My housemates and I have been patiently staring at our router hoping that there’ll be activity on the DSL light. Sigh~
Yesterday, we couldn’t wait any longer… so my housemate went to the office again and this time it was a different news. Apparently, someone has been stealing the copper cable from the exhange and it so happen that our line was one of those affected by it!!! WTF!!!
Damn those thieves! but aside from that… the lady behind the counter was worse! Rather than assuring us that Telekom is looking into the matter seriously (lie if they have to la… right?); she said that this is common in Miri (apparently the thieves have been hitting the lines for the past few months) and even told us that there are some people who waited more than a month to get the line reconnected… and then comes the final blow - she told my housemate - GOOD LUCK!! %!@^!%@^!%#&!%^@!!!
So much for customer service and satisfaction from Terrorkom.
