I’m well rested, showered, had my dinner and cleared my mind off my Final year Project worries (many thanks to AuYongTC on this). It’s been a while since I wrote something on my blog… no, I haven’t abandoned it; just been pre-occupied with some stuffs and had a bit of worries on my mind. Anyway, here I am now so please join me on the second part of my flashback… scroll down to read more about the third day.
(19/7) Day Three: Gamblers Unite!
Breakfast: McDonalds @ First World, Genting.
Lunch: Food Court @ First World Plaza, Genting Highlands & Syed Restaurant, PJ.
Dinner: ((erm… I’ll fill it in when I can recall la… ))
It’s the third day and we were still in Genting… for me, I’ve rested well enough having slept through the entire night, my friends on the other hand… ummm.. I had no idea what time they came back to the room but seems like they got pretty lucky the night before.
Anyway, the plan for the day was to explore the outdoor theme park but after a short discussion over breakfast in McDonalds (love the hash brown!) we decided to just go back to the casinos and this time I just tagged along…
After a couple of hours that includes a few trips in and out of the casino (seems like lady luck is smiling on my friends that day), a short walk around the outdoors as well as a short stop in Starbucks… it was time to go back to KL. Bye Genting! It has been fun!

A picture of ME in Genting… look at the mist behind me… really cool!

Misty Genting… it felt really nice and cool
An hour passed and it was around 4pm in the evening now… we’re all back down in KL and we took a short drive to a few Perodua Service Centers to look for some spare parts for a friend but unfortunately there’s no stock everywhere! Dissapointed, tired and a lil hungry; we stop by Syed Restaurant for tea and some light food.
I’m suffering for a short term memory lapse as of now… so, I kinda forgot where we had dinner…bah, not important info anyway. hehehe… Our night plan was to catch Pirates of the Carribean : Dead Man’s Chest at GSC 1Utama. Bottomline : The movie roxx and we really enjoyed it in the THX cinema… my friends were all pleased with the spacious leather seats, ample leg room as well as the higher elevations between the rows. A far far cry from the Star Cineplex back here in Miri
… Only drawback is the 30 minutes of adverts and previews! hahahaha.. not that I’m complaining though.
That concludes day three…
(20/7) Day Four: KL City Tour
Breakfast: KLCC food Court @ Suria KLCC
Lunch: Teppanyaki @ MidValley, KL.
Dinner: Restoran Talipon @ Kelana Jaya.
KL City Tour… well, not the entire city but just a few places of interest. I think it’s kinda impossible to cover the whole city in ONE day. hahahaha… Anyway, to sum it all up; today we covered Suria KLCC, the SkyBridge, Aquaria, MidValley Megamall as well as Petaling Street.
So, this morning we skipped breakfast initially to queue for the tickets to visit the KLCC SkyBridge. If you’re planning to visit the SkyBridge, you need to be early
KLCC SkyBridge is free entrance but you need to get the tickets early as it’s a first-come-first-serve basis. We got there around 9am and the queue was already getting pretty long. If you can’t get tickets for the SkyBridge, then there’s another alternative which is to visit the KL Tower but that you gotta pay though. Anyway, I had to stand in queue for 45 minutes before I can get the tickets to visit the SkyBridge. We got tickets for the slot of 12:15pm so we got a couple of hours to kill before it’s our time.
By now we were kinda starving actually… so, we had breakfast at the food court in KLCC. I must say that it’s really been a while since I visited KLCC myself and I’m impressed with the food court now. Lots of varieties and the place really look nice. I ordered a Kebab for myself while my friends each tried different stuffs from the Laksa Shack and chicken rice.
After a nice breakfast, we went seperate ways to explore KLCC before we proceed to the SkyBridge visit.

Group Photo at the SkyBridge
After a brief 10 minutes of photo session at the SkyBridge and a really fast elevator ride (moving at aprrox. 1 floor per second), it’s the end of our SkyBridge visit. Next destination: Aquaria KLCC.
It’s my first time to Aquaria since it first open sometime last year… IF you’re a student, please remember to bring your Student ID as there’s discounts for students. So, we all got our tickets for only RM20 rather than the usual RM28.
Thus, our journey to the deep ocean begins… there’s plenty to see in Aquaria, from really really huge fish to some weird looking ones as well as some other exotic fishes. The main attraction of is definitely the “Journey” which is actually a 90m acrylic tunnel where thee depths of the brilliant ocean is presented.
