Carnival JomHeboh 2006, Miri Sarawak
Carnival JomHeboh is held at the Boulevard Commercial Complex for the very first time in Miri Sarawak. Since it’s held in Miri for the first time, we (my housemates and I) couldn’t afford to miss it and decided to pay a visit to this Carnival in the morning.
At first glance, the setup is pretty big and there’s lots of participating companies and organizations such as Hotlink (one of their main sponsors), Dutch Lady, Olay and other TV3 related booths such as the popular TV3 show 999 and MedikTV, TV3’s newscaster personalities and many more… plus, they have a main stage setup for 2 concerts planned; one is a concert by Hotlink which will be held tonight and another is the main final concert which is held tommorrow night and will be broadcasted over their local TV station, TV3.
We took a brief walk around the carnival and I must say, it is indeed impressive… all participating companies and organization has lots of great deals to offer its visitors and there are lots of individual events planned thoughout the day; within the individual booths and throughout the carnival. Unfortunately, I didn’t buy anything from the Carnival as I am literally broke this month… hahahaha…
One thing that caught my attention was the Hotlink double storey booth… it’s very outstanding and besides offering great deals for their reload coupons and Hotlink membership signups, there’s even a special apprearance by Nikki (Malaysian Idol contestant first season) at their “balcony” today @ 5:00pm. Nice…
Another thing to note… the “emcee” for the Hotlink booth is none other than Mr. Abel Nelson Nang (the PR Officer for Curtin Sarawak). No wonder that voice sounded familiar as I approached the booth… 
After taking a short stroll around the carnival grounds it was getting pretty hot and the crowd is really starting to pour in so we decided to go back home… Didn’t get to cut my hair yet as the hair saloon in Boulevard is packed so, I “still” look like a cave-man now… lolz…
