Life has a funny way of showing you who is in control and today is one such day…

My housemate, a couple of friends and I were suppose to watch X-Men 3 in the cinema since it’s Movie Day (cheaper tickets) but I guess when you’re the ONLY cinema in Miri, you get to dictate based on your mood and how much money you want to make… thus, no special price for X-Men 3 today and it’s at full price + RM1. So, never wanting to bow down to these rip-offs we decided to catch it next Wednesday… %@&%#@%! strike one!

Then it was around 3:45pm and with extra time to kill, we decided to go to the MAS office (Malaysia Airlines) cause one of my housemate wanted to confirm his air ticket… took a ticket number: 20 people in line. Okay, so we waited for about 25 minutes and only 4 numbers got processed!!! Sigh… decided to go for tea, 10 minutes passed…. and guess what? when we went back to the office… they’re CLOSED! Yup! They’ve shut the shutters and only serve the customers that’s still left in the office… WTF!?? KNNCCB&*#@*^&*! So, didn’t get around to do the ticket thingy…. strike two!

Since it was a pretty hot afternoon and we weren’t feeling cool at all (especially from the last incident) we decided to go to a dessert shop (where they serve good ABCs - ice mountain with syrup and jellies) to cool us down. So, all of us hop into the car…. and 5 minutes later we arrive at the shop only to find that it’s also CLOSED!!!! MCBCCB*^@#*%!!! Strike three…. and we’re really out!

I guess that this is how today will turn out to be… we went to pack dinner and drove back home… not accomplishing anything we wanted to accomplish in the beginning besides wasting fuel driving around town.

Sigh….
