This week has it’s ups and downs… First of all, there’s the feeling of rush and guilt from all the assignments that are piling up… come Monday, there was 2 group assignments due and luckily for me, I’ve got great group members who are very responsible and did their part thus, it went smoothly. Now what’s left is 14 lab and chapter reports from my Simulation Studies as well as a major case study, plus more reports from another subject Transmission and Interface Design. No stress there… (yeah rite…).
Next up are good news… my lecturers have been very helpful and some even extended the deadlines to some assignments plus I roughly calculated my internal marks and it’s pretty okay this time… majority of my mid semesters exams as well as reports gathered sufficient marks for me internally.. now, the task is to pass my finals! (fingers crossed).
On the IT side… I must say that I’ve been busy these couple of weeks…. why? cause broadband service is now finally available in Senadin (where I stay) and since then, most of my friends have been looking for me to setup their PCs and routers… not that I mind or anything and I try to do what I can but please don’t call me at 1am to tell me that you have a PC problem, please?
More on IT… here’s an interesting article for those who wants to know about the next release of Windows - Windows Vista. As for me, I’m not really excited about it because the minimum requirements for it is pretty high (looks like it’s gonna be a resource hungry OS) as compared to Mac OS or even Linux. Then, there’s all the speculations of how bloated it will be and now it seems like there’s a lawsuit filed by Symantec against Microsoft that might jeopardize the stipulated release date for Windows Vista.
Then, there’s American Idol… the two finalists are Katherine McPhee and Taylor Hicks. It was a nice result show highlighting their trip back to their hometown and here’s the killer… a total of 50 million votes was cast for that particular night! Now, that’s a lot of votes!!! Congratulations to the two finalists and it’s a pity for Elliott Yamin but I’m sure it’s not the end for him…
Finally, since last night I had this pounding headache that last all the way till now… I’ve taken pills and tried to sleep through the night but I just can’t seem to have more than 3 hours sleep in one go… I think I’ve grown accustomed to it (is that even possible!?) and I just hope I can have a good night sleep and wake up fresh tommorrow morning… it’s gonna be a hectic weekend!
…and that was the week that was… Cheers~!
