Desperate times, desperate measures

Posted on Sunday 26 March 2006

Desperate time calls for desperate measures. I bet all of us are familiar with this saying right? At one point of your life you would have experience a moment where you’re desperate enough to take any actions (be it a reasonable one or not) to accomplish something…

So, here’s my story about my desperate measure. If you’ve been reading my blog previously I always talked about not having Internet access at home and have been using my handphone to get online; well, guess what? My phone bill arrived and my data charges alone is RM208.50! Yikes! Well, luckily my other usages such as call charges and SMS charges isn’t a lot and there was a bit of rollover balance in my account previously… so, I don’t get the full blow of the amount. But still, that’s one pretty big sum.

So, there’s a few things to learn here… ONE: Maxis data charges is still pretty expensive although they’re reduced their charges a couple of months ago (RM208 got me 24MB of data transfer). TWO: When you’re desperate, you do stewpid things most of the time. THREE: Using a web-based MSN client (such as meebo) transfer lesser data compared to the actual MSN client.

Cheers~!
