The few days that was…
The last couple of days was kinda a mix and match of feelings and also problems.
First, there’s this blog… I’ve been spending some time the last couple of days on getting this blog running (started it in 1st Jan 2006 - as part of my new year resolution) and looking into areas of stuffs to write about. So, one of them was the Downloadables Section which I’m happy with. Now there’s just a couple of themes for my handphone but hopefully I’ll add more stuffs to it.
Then just like 2 days back, my blog starts acting strange… so, when I did a check, someone actually ‘exploited’ my site!!! There’s bits and pieces of code embedded into my pages and also some of my original code are missing… thus, starts the long process of fixing the problem. Unfortunately, i didn’t really have time to do a backup prior so I had to look into the pages one by one… really frustrating but can’t blame anyone though since I was a bit too lenient on the permissions settings on my folders… till now although most of them are fixed… IE still can’t display my site properly (again!)… sigh…
Then, on Tuesday (which was a holiday) initially i planned on staying at home and just resting the whole day (being a real lazy bum) but then my brother and my parents had this great idea of taking my nieces and nephew for a trip to an island - Pulau Ketam… so; tired and a bit reluctant… I had to tag along because gotta fetch my parents and the kids to the jetty. Overall, it was pretty okay besides the weather being a little bit hot and not forgetting the 1 hour and 15 minutes ferry ride (Which could have taken just 40 minutes if we would have boarded the faster speedboat).
And yesterday night I actually met up with one of my secondary school friend who went to Melbourne for the past 3 years and while we chatted one reality HIT me… among our group of friends from high school… I’m the ONLY person who still haven’t graduate! Argh… everyone else is either working in Malaysia or has ventured overseas and even some got married! Me? Still doing my undergraduate… sigh… it’s really nothing to fret about because I did spent around 4 years working prior to my studies so they kinda had that head-start but it’s still a reality that I’m the last!
So, feeling a bit depressed now actually… but will try to be a bit optimistic and strive for a better year!
